LN63 & Other News

Busy month all round, but the weather is causing havoc with our open events. Gales at Weston and now raging rivers at Cookham, hopefully we’ll get a bit more favourable luck from here on. We are looking to re-plan the Cookham event probably in October, but it makes for a busy last half of the season.

North Norfolk week is next in the calendar, with Class starts at Hunstanton on the first weekend. if you want to sail in the event please make an entry on-line as places are limited at Hunstanton. Full details can be found on the Events Info page.

Then we are off to the nationals. This is a really enjoyable weekend of sailing, and in keeping with the class ethos very informal. This year Banks Sails have kindly donated a brand new boat cover which we will raffle at the event, even more reason to come along now. All the details are on the Events Info page, if you are camping remember to book with the club.

We have an excellent Boat Review in Y&Y this month, which is definitely worth a read, supported by some cracking good video of the boats charging around the Lymington River, in somewhat expert hands. See Video Page, these are well worth the look, if only to see how far a Lightning mast can bend.
